This website is founded by the Dietetics department of the academic hospital of Maastricht (Maastricht UMC+) for fellow dietitians and those who are interested in the nutritional status of patients. Here, you can find information about assessing a patient's nutritional status during illness, a.k.a. "Nutritional Assessment", and the screening tool SNAP (Short Nutritional Assessment). The approx. 16 employees of the Dietetics department focus on inpatient and outpatient care in collaboration with partners in the chain of care, education and practice-related research. The area of expertise "Nutritional Assessment" fits within the Maastricht UMC+ policy framework "Nutrition and Metabolism" of Gezond Leven 2020.

More information on the Dietetics department can be found on this (Dutch) website.
